Seeing the Next Two Weeks
Collections and Payments Due Report
Cash crises are usually no surprise; it's just that no one looked ahead. We wrote about what changes when you see upcoming receivables and payables on the home screen and how to read the report.

A cash crunch is rarely a surprise. The payment is usually known weeks in advance; so is the receivable. The problem isn't a lack of information, but the fact that nobody is looking at it.
On a busy day, no one thinks to themselves, "Let me check what I have to pay next week." That's why the report shouldn't be something you have to search for—it needs to be right in front of you.
What does the report show?
It puts two lists side by side:
- Collections to be made: Your upcoming or overdue receivables — from whom, how much, and when.
- Payments to be made: Your upcoming payables — to whom, how much, and when.
In Qolay.App, this report sits right on the dashboard. You see it every time you open the program; you don't need to hunt for it in a menu. That is precisely what makes the difference.
How should you read it?
When looking at the report, ask yourself a single question: is the money going out in the next two weeks more than the money coming in?
If it is, you have three options, and all three take time:
- Speeding up collections — calling those with upcoming due dates today.
- Delaying payments — talking to your supplier. Discussing an extension before the due date is received very differently than talking about it after it's overdue.
- Securing cash.
You can do these three things two weeks in advance. You cannot do them on the day the payment is due.
To keep the report accurate
This report feeds on your records, so if your inputs are incomplete, the output will be misleading. Pay attention to three things:
- Add due dates to invoices. An invoice without a due date doesn't hold meaningful weight in this report.
- Process collections on the same day. If a paid invoice stays on the list, you will lose confidence in the report and stop looking at it.
- Enter opening balances. If past receivables are not entered into the system, they will never appear on the list.
What to do after the report?
Seeing it isn't enough on its own; you need to tie the list to an action. We covered the reminder calendar for overdue items in the overdue receivables article.
You can have the assistant prepare reminder emails; you retain final approval before sending. Showing customers their current balance on every invoice also reduces delays — this line is automatically added with description templates.
Frequently asked questions
How often should I check it?
Since it's right on the dashboard, no separate routine is needed. Focusing on it once a week to evaluate the next two weeks is sufficient.
Do transactions without due dates appear?
The report works based on due dates. Cash transactions are already closed, so they don't appear here.
Are checks and promissory notes included?
Deferred transactions you record enter the list according to their due dates. No liability that you fail to record will appear in the report.
Can I view it on mobile?
Yes, it is accessible on mobile with the same account.
In cash management, early information is more valuable than excessive information. A crunch foreseen two weeks in advance can be managed; a crunch realized on the day of payment cannot.
By opening a free account on Qolay.App, you can bring your deferred transactions into this report.
