Why Doesn't the Cash Register Balance? Usually Because of This
Payment in a Single Step with Expense Recording
Recording an expense and entering its payment separately creates double work, and the second step is often forgotten. Result: money in the books that isn't in the drawer. We explained what changes when you record it in a single step.

Most features in Qolay.App are unlimited: you can issue invoices, manage current accounts, generate reports, and no counter will run.
Two features work differently: those that use artificial intelligence. Since their operational costs occur per transaction, they run on a shared quota. That quota is called Qolay Credit.
Where are they spent?
- Qolay Assistant chat. Every question you ask and every draft prepared by the assistant.
- Expense receipt scanning. Reading the amount, date, and vendor information from the receipt image.
- Smart actions and reminder emails. Content prepared by the assistant on your behalf.
The important point: a single wallet. You don't need to buy a separate package for receipt scanning and another for the assistant. They are deducted from the same balance, and you decide which one to use more.
100 free credits for every company
100 Qolay Credits are assigned to every new company you create. This means you don't need to purchase anything extra to try it out — you can try the assistant and receipt scanning even on the free plan.
In practice, 100 credits are enough to understand whether the features are useful for your business. When you switch to daily use, additional credits can be topped up via the Market.
What happens when the balance runs out?
Only AI features stop. You will continue to issue invoices, manage current accounts, and perform stock and financial operations — these have nothing to do with credits.
So, running out of credits doesn't stop your business, it just turns off the shortcuts. You can continue entering receipts manually and opening reports from the menu.
This is why the credit balance is the first thing to check when encountering complaints like "the assistant is not responding" or "the receipt is not being read."
Using credits efficiently
- Take clear photos of receipts. Unreadable receipts will require retries, and every retry consumes credits. Plain surface, good lighting, full frame.
- Get routine reports from the menu. Instead of asking the assistant for the same report every month, it's more cost-effective to learn the relevant screen once.
- Use the assistant in moments of decision. It delivers the most value when you need information for a screen you're unfamiliar with.
Frequently asked questions
Do credits renew every month?
The free 100 credits are assigned once when the company is opened; they do not auto-renew monthly. Additional credits are topped up via the Market.
I have two companies, are the credits shared?
Credits are defined on a per-company basis; each company has its own balance. We covered this distinction in the multi-company management article.
Are credits included if I switch to a paid plan?
Plan scopes may vary; please confirm the current status from the pricing page.
Where can I see my remaining balance?
You can track it within the application; you will receive a warning when your balance runs low.
Think of Qolay Credit not as a subscription, but as fuel: it only powers the artificial intelligence features, and the rest of the work is already included in your plan.
When you open a free account on Qolay.App, you can try out the assistant and receipt scanning with your 100 credits.
